Project Description

Grace Ho, a native of Taiwan, is an active soloist and chamber musician throughout the United States and Asia. Her solo appearances include performances with the Lewisville Lake Symphony Orchestra, Ho Chi Ming City Symphony Orchestra, Sun Taipei Philharmonic, Manhattan School of Music (MSM) Philharmonic Orchestra, and University of North Texas (UNT) Chamber Orchestra. Since 2014 she has been Guest Principal Cellist with the Miami Symphony. First-prize winner in Manhattan School of Music’s 2011 Eisenberg-Fried Concerto Competition, the youngest winner in the 2007 UNT Concerto Competition, a silver medal recipient in the 2007 Crescendo Music Awards, and first-prize winner in the 2006 GDYO Concerto Competition. Ms. Ho made her Carnegie Hall debut in Zankel Hall in 2013, appearing there again in Stern Auditorium in 2014. She is currently pursuing Doctor of Musical Arts at Manhattan School of Music with full scholarship, under the tutelage of David Geber. With full scholarships, Grace studied with Eugene Osadchy at the University of North Texas, where she received her Bachelor of Music degree in 2010, and with Clive Greensmith at Manhattan School of Music, where she received her Master of Music degree in 2012, graduating with the Pablo Casals Award. In 2015, she had the privilege to play with world-renown cellist, David Geringas, in his recital in New York City. Also appearing as a soloist with the Sun Taipei Philharmonic in Taipei and the Xiamen Symphony in China.
