Anbessa Orchestra is heralded as NY’s premier Ethiopian music group. Playing arrangements of 60’s-70’s tunes from Ethiopia as well as their own originals that are inspired from that sound and the eclectic plethora of Ethiopia’s diverse regions and tribes. Anbessa Orchestra’s music has and old school sound but with a fresh approach, creating a myriad of African, Jazz and Funk music which appeals to the listeners mind, body and soul.
